| ARTIST STATEMENT: This is my first
exhibit and I am delighted that it is planned for Downsville. The winter in Colchester presents landscapes of subtle beauty. I have photographed many scenes that I plan to use for future paintings. I can't wait to transform the photos into paintings that expose the beauty of nature, and at times, combined with historic architecture. In many cases I want to preserve the architecture of Colchester homes and farms. I've always enjoyed the paintings I have seen of towns covered with snow. The lighting and sky effects are dramatic. I hope you enjoy viewing the art and have as much fun as I have had in painting them. |
